COVID-19 Vaccine
McKinley Health Center endorses the recommendation by the CDC for the newly FDA-approved 2023-2024 COVID-19 shots for everyone over the age of 6 months. McKinley currently does not have the new COVID-19 vaccine, but the vaccine is available at all local Pharmacies and community clinics. For people with Health Insurance, most plans cover the vaccine at no cost. Per the Illinois Department of Public Health, individuals who don’t have health insurance or if their health insurance plans do not cover the cost can get a free vaccine from the local public health centers and pharmacies.
