Important COVID-19 Information:

Due to the COVID-19 situation, all appointments must be scheduled by phone (217-333-2700) Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.

McKinley Health Center will only see patients by scheduled appointment through the fall semester. Walk in appointments will not be taken and online scheduling has been suspended. At the start of the FY21 fall semester, McKinley will also discourage non-essential appointments within the building and better leverage our technology for telephone and telehealth visits. Appointments can be made by calling 217-333-2700. If the incidence of new COVID cases permit, McKinley will be open to scheduled elective visits in all our clinical areas within a few weeks of the start of our fall semester. All students present in the building should provide for social distancing spaces between themselves and other individuals. And all students are expected to follow the campus policy for COVID testing and be in a cleared status for scheduling of non-urgent appointments.

For non-urgent face-to-face scheduled appointments in the clinical areas, health education, radiology, and laboratory, students must show they have tested negative within the last four days.  If students are being seen with any upper respiratory symptoms or fever, a negative COVID test within the last two days is required. No distinction is made between graduate and undergraduate students on these requirements.

All Pharmacy and other charges will be placed onto student accounts.
Students are encouraged to request medication refills online through MyMcKinley.

At the beginning of the semester, it is anticipated that there may be reduced appointment times available for certain routine appointments (e.g., immunizations, routine physical exams, travel consults).
McKinley does have many telehealth appointment options. Due to staffing and scheduling nuances, we cannot guarantee appointments can always be with your preferred caregiver, but we will try to accommodate your request.

To cancel an appointment go to or call (217-333-2700) during business hours.

You must cancel at least two hours prior to your scheduled appointment time. Failure to do so will result in a $10 fee charged to your student account. To dispute a missed appointment charge, download and complete the No Show Form (requires a PDF Viewer) and mail the completed form via Campus or U.S. Mail to McKinley Health Center for consideration.
