Effective March 17, 2020 McKinley Health Center will only see patients by scheduled appointment through the remainder of the spring semester. Walk in appointments will not be taken and online scheduling has been suspended. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, McKinley will also discourage non-essential appointments within the building and better leverage our technology for telephone and telehealth visits. Appointments can be made by calling 217-333-2700. Individuals without an appointment will not be allowed into patient care areas at this time. Students present in the building should provide for social distancing spaces between themselves and other individuals.

Cash and credit card payments at McKinley are also temporarily suspended as a safety measure. All Pharmacy and other charges will be placed onto student accounts.

Students are encouraged to request medication refills online through MyMcKinley.

During this time, it is anticipated that there may be reduced appointment times available for certain routine appointments (e.g., immunizations, routine physical exams, travel consults).

McKinley is developing phone and telehealth appointment options. Due to staffing and scheduling nuances, we cannot guarantee appointments can always be with your preferred caregiver, but we will try to accommodate your request.

Additionally, students with Student Health Insurance/United Healthcare Insurance, are able to access the BetterHelp Telehealth platform at no charge if you access through the link that was provided to your University email address at the time of enrollment.
