The Nutrition Education Program at McKinley Health Center provides in-house and outreach services. 

The goal of the nutrition program is to:

  • Provide education on a variety of nutrition topics
  • Encourage healthy eating behaviors
  • Facilitate understanding the benefits of healthy eating

 

Individual Appointments

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign students meet one-on-one with a registered dietitian.  Nutrition concerns of any kind may be addressed in an hour session.  Some topics may include:

  • General healthy eating
  • Vegetarian eating
  • Preventing heart disease
  • Diabetes
  • Sports nutrition
  • Disordered eating behavior
  • Herbs and supplements

 

Outreach Programs

Let our Registered Dietitians provide general nutrition information including healthy eating, weight management and sports nutrition to your group.  Nutrition workshops are available for:

  • Residence Halls
  • Cultural Organizations
  • Greek Chapters
  • Academic Classes
  • Registered Student Organizations (RSO's)
